The Inspire America Foundation has launched a new initiative designed to move the EU’s position further in favor of the democratization of Cuba and Venezuela.
On April 9, 2019, the Foundation assisted, the EU’s Vice President, Pavel Telička in organizing a forum on Cuba and Venezuela, which included a panel led by former US Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart, who authored the Helms Burton legislation, and Dr. Orlando Vieira Blanco, who serves as President Guaido’s Ambassador to Canada. Inspire America’s Board Member, Attorney Daniel Diaz-Balart represented the Foundation at the event.
On April 26, 2019, Foundation Chairman, Marcell Felipe visited the European Solidarity Center in Gdansk, Poland to learn about the Polish transition to democracy. While at the Center, Marcell Felipe, met with Lech Walesa. The iconic leader stressed the need for unity within the Cuban opposition.
Today, May 3, 2019, the Inspire America Board is hosting a delegation led by the President of the Czech parliament, Radek Vondráček, and the Czech Ambassador to the US, Hynek Kmoníček to discuss the crisis in Venezuela and Cuba.
In the coming months, Inspire America will announce new initiatives with European partners willing to provide the voice for those oppressed by the same ideology that once oppressed millions in Europe.
