I write to you on behalf of the Riverside Language Program, the city’s premiere non-profit language school which offers free, full-time English classes to immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers: https://www.riversidelanguage.org. These classes are now remote and very easy to access from all boroughs–Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx.
Riverside Language Program has worked with more than 30,000 newly arrived immigrants since 1979 when the school opened. This unique program is one of the oldest and most respected in NYC–six weeks of FREE, full-time English classes led by skilled teachers. Riverside Language Program is rated in the top 5% of all New York State adult education programs and 85% of our students achieve measurable gains after six weeks of instruction, five hours a day. You can see the action here: https://vimeo.com/235750982.
The next cycle of free classes begins October 25th (through November 25th). Potential students in your community are asked to contact the school email@example.com before September 30th. If you prefer, we can supply a JPG/GIF announcement about free classes. To find out what makes this language school so special, the school’s executive director, Berta Colon, is available for interviews in Spanish, Chinese, French, and Arabic.
